Obituary of Maria de la Trinidad Driscoll

Trini Driscoll passed away peacefully at the Frasier Meadows Retirement Community. Born in Madrid, Spain, she was educated at parochial schools in Madrid until after the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War when she was sent to Sacred Heart Academy in Brussels, Belgium. At the conclusion of that war, her family accepted asylum in the Dominican Republic, where she attended the University of Santo Domingo. It was in Santo Domingo (then called Ciudad Trujillo) that she met her future husband, Clement J. Driscoll, who was Legal Attache at the American Embassy and who predeceased her. In the course of their married life of 65 years, they lived in the Chicago, IL area, Nassau, Bahamas, Ridgewood, NJ, Sarasota, FL, Greensburg, PA and, ultimately, Boulder, CO. Trini was an avid reader and enjoyed bridge, cooking and caring for her family. She is survived by five children: Elizabeth (Boyle) of Greensburg, PA, Clement of Palos Verdes Estates, CA, Anita (Feiger) of Bath, UK, David of Boulder, CO and Jean (Calthorpe) of Berkeley, CA, fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2021 at 11 A.M. at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6739 S Boulder Rd, Boulder, CO 80303. Burial will follow the Mass at the Church Cemetery. Following the Burial, a reception will be held at 1:00 P.M. at the Chautauqua Dining Hall, 900 Baseline Rd., Boulder, CO 80302.
