Dear Kimberly, Izze and John;
Barb's celebration of life last Saturday was lovely. Everyone of us could feel Barb's energy and love in the pavillion. Each of you spoke so eloquently about your experiences with Barb. I know you miss her terribly and your hearts are filled with sorrow. Please know that sorrow is not forever but your love for her is forever.
I knew Barb for many years yet did not know her as deeply as many. I met her when I volunteered to be on the board at Safe House in the 80's, she called me to consider being on the board for the YWCA -- I was honored but I was too busy. We always ran into each other in Boulder throughout the years -- always filled with a hug, laughs and a quick catch up. She ALWAYS spoke about each of you.
We all know how busy life becomes and we get away from some things that are important to us. Whilst listening to the speakers last Saturday, it reminded me to and inspired me to volunteer again. Barb's legacy lives on in so many ways.
My heart goes out to each of you. I know you have many loved ones who are supporting you. Do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything.
