I had the pleasure of meeting John a few times over the past decade at various functions. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone, and he was truly interested in others' thoughts and feelings. His work as a gay educator was inspirational to us all. Wishing John's friends and family peace, comfort, and good memories. I'll miss seeing John around town.
