Obituary of Nancy Love

Nancy Boudreau Love died peacefully at her home on October 29, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 5, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to James F. Boudreau Sr. and Mary Dee Boudreau. Nancy grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended Del Mar College and Texas A&M Kingsville, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in urban planning. She was a longtime Colorado resident, having moved to Colorado in 1973 and Boulder in 1982.

In 1973 Nancy married David Love, and together in 1983, they started a successful and award-winning water resource engineering firm, Love & Associates, located in Louisville, Colorado. In addition to their many professional recognitions for engineering excellence, this firm designed the award-winning Boulder Creek Bike Path, the CU Research Park and the South Platte River Flood Control and Greenways Project in Denver. Nancy was a talented business manager and a natural leader. She was a member of 50 for Colorado and served for several years as the president and on the board of the Louisville Downtown Business Association and was instrumental in forming the Street Faire event and the vision of what downtown Louisville is today.

After retirement, Nancy loved to travel, visiting her family and friends often but especially delighted in spending time with her four granddaughters whom she loved dearly. She always could be counted on to attend all their major sporting and school events.

Nancy is survived by her two daughters Stephanie Love and Sara Love Spinler; her son-in-law Wesley Spinler; grandchildren Madison and Lily McCullough, and Makayla and Makenzie Spinler. She is also survived by siblings Stephanie Myers, James Boudreau Jr., Jane Griffin, Terrence Boudreau, Anthony Boudreau, and John Boudreau. Nancy has left an undeniable legacy of love, warmth, and friendship with all of those whose lives she touched.

The funeral Mass will be held on November 22nd at 10 am at Sacred Heart of Mary.
