Dear Jennifer and family, I don't know if you will see this. It is now 2.5 years since Martha left us. This is Nicki Wolf Nelson Nave. Your mother and I put you and David in the same bad day care situation when you were about 4 years old. As you can see, I still haven't been able to let those guilt feelings go. But life is too short for guilt. I also feel bad that I didn't know about the final, final chapter of her life. I loved the time I met her at your house in Grand Rapids and we had lunch and the time we met Betty and Ro and had a grown-up slumber party at Ro's house in Colorado. Your mom never seemed to change. I love the comment in the obituary about her ease in becoming a friend to all those she met. I have a clear memory of visiting her in her dorm room at WSU when I was a Freshman and she was a Senior to talk about majoring in Logopedics. Sending love and sympathy.
