Obituary of Linda Mae Nuttall
It is with sadness that the Nuttall family announces the passing of Linda Mae Nuttall on March 23 after complications due to cancer. Born July 23, 1952 in Keyser, West Virginia to James and Margaret Walker, she grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
By the late 1970’s, Linda moved to Boulder, Colorado where she met her future husband and life partner – O.T. Nuttall. Together they raised their two children Charles and Julia. Many members of the animal kingdom lived in their household over the years.
Her family remembers her as a loving, extremely kind soul, and generous person beautiful both inside and out. Smiles would brighten another’s day as did hers. When treated at the infusion center at Avista Hospital, she made the day for those working with her. Linda was especially grateful for the care and support from the nursing staff.
As the middle daughter with seven sisters, she was dubbed the “star flower.” Linda helped her sisters in need and took care of them being the empath that she was.
Her special gift was with flowers, animals and people. This highly spirited woman would instantly touch whoever she met.
Throughout her chemo treatments, Linda was always optimistic and created strong connections with others. She was a fighter and never gave up hope. She would want everyone to think of the fun and happy memories and not grieve about the hard times. Linda never wanted anyone to worry.
Linda is survived by her husband O.T., son Charles and daughter Julia, grandchildren Aliyah, Colton and Sabian, sisters Gail Snyder, Barbara Payton, Peggy Brownwell, Beth Johnson and Jeanne Gibson. Her parents and sisters Patty Walker and Bonnie Willey preceded her passing.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 1:30 at St. Ambrose Episcopal Church,
7520 South Boulder Road, Boulder, 80303.
