My condolences to the Davis family, I'm very sorry for your loss. As brilliant as Dick was as an engineer he was an even better man. He always had a twinkle in his eye and kind word for everyone. His contributions and influence to the work at NBS/ NIST were innumerable and long lasting, and he was a great example for all of us. He helped my career in many ways. May God bless Dick and his family.
