Obituary of Betty Jane Matson
Betty Jane Matson passed away on January 2, 2018 in Longmont, CO. She was 95. Betty was born August 29, 1922, in Racine, WI to Elizabeth and Frank Harter, and attended Park High School, where she met her future husband, Sterling A. Matson. They married on May 22, 1943, after which they lived for many years in Racine, WI before moving to Boulder, CO in 1975.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Sterling Matson, next to whom she will be buried.
She is survived by daughters Patricia Matson and Kimberly Matson; grandchildren Matthew (Candice) Funari, Michael (Kacey) Funari, Daniel (Stephanie) Funari, Stephanie Siegert, Tyler Siegert; and great-grandchildren Bailey Funari, Isabella Funari and Stevie Funari.
We will miss her keen insights and her sense of humor.
A funeral service and burial will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80235, staging area A.
