Obituary of Reta Jane Woodruff
Reta J. Woodruff of Erie died at her home on Saturday, December 23, 2017. She was 70.
Reta was born in Muse, Pennsylvania, on November 29, 1947, to John and Susan (Drost) Marin. She graduated from Canon McMillan Senior High School in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Reta worked as a licensed practical nurse at Boulder Manor in Boulder, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and by brothers Thomas Marin, Anthony Marin, David Marin, Bernard Marin, Frank Marin, and sisters Mildred Marin and Catherine Marin.
Reta is survived by son Dale Woodruff and daughters Cynthia (Mark) Nelson and Jennie Woodruff, all of Erie; brothers Edward Marin, John (Terry) Marin, Richard (Ollie) Marin, Eugene Marin, and Robert (Sarah) Marin, and sister Diane (Mitch) Sutherland; many nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at St. Scholastica Catholic Church, 575 Wells St., Erie, Colorado 80516. The Mass will be preceded by a viewing at 9:00 AM and a Rosary at 9:30 AM. Following the service, a burial will take place at 2:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO 80236. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps.
