I worked at Teterboro Airport back in the late 1970's for Windstar Aviation. Craig, Dale & "Dutch" were the pilots for John Denver's Lear 35 that was run through the FAA in New Jersey.
I just happened to google Craig and unfortunately learned of his passing. I will never forget the day, and I repeat this story often, when Craig and Dale flew the Learjet with John onboard, into Teterboro Airport. Dale stayed behind to man the office, and Craig, my colleague and myself flew in a helicopter with John, over into the South Street Seaport, NYC. After our limo ride through the streets of NY, we dropped John off, and the three of us had lunch at Tavern on The Green. After lunch we took the helicopter back to Teterboro Airport, where John arrived shortly thereafter by helicopter. John, Craig & Dale then flew back to Colorado. I had learned shortly thereafter, that John had flown in from Colorado to NJ to have a meeting with Robert Redford!
Craig was such a terrific and likable person. I am so sorry for your loss...
