Obituary of John J. Abbott
John J. Abbott of Broomfield, died Monday March 13, 2017 at TRU Community Care Hospice in Boulder.
A service in celebration of John’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M., Fri., April 28, 2017, at Flatirons Community Church, 355 W. South Boulder Rd., Lafayette, CO 80026. A reception will follow the services.
John was born January 18, 1958 in El Paso, TX to Joseph & Margaret (Vamburger) Abbott. He was a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso.
John married Ellen Schubert on April 12, 1986 in El Paso. They have lived in Broomfield for the last nine years. John was a FED-EX ground manager in Henderson, CO.
He was a Christian who read the Bible every day, enjoyed baseball (Chicago Cubs), basketball (Lakers) and football (Minnesota Vikings).
Survivors include his wife Ellen of Broomfield, CO; and brothers Paul Abbott of El Paso, TX; and Jim Abbott of Houston, TX.
