Obituary of Joe Van Olree

Joe Van Olree of Boulder, formerly of Braggadocio, MO, died Monday, January 30, 2017 at St. Anthony North Hospital in Lakewood, CO. He was 78.

A private family service in celebration of Joe’s life will be held.

Joe was born January 30, 1939 to Gladys Geraldine Smith of Braggadocio, MO. He graduated from Harding College in Searcy, AK.

Joe married Meridith Yvonne (Fagan) Olree on December 19, 1958 in Kennett, MO, before moving to Boulder.

Joe spent the majority of his career in corporate finance. He served in the Army Reserves for several years during the early 60’s. He was a life-long member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors are: Yvonne Olree of Boulder, CO; three brothers, Harry Olree of Searcy, AK; Glenn Olree of Searcy A; and Charles Olree of Memphis TN; two sons, Kevin Olree and wife Laura of Alpharetta, GA; and Mark Olree of Boulder, CO.
