I was surprised and saddened to hear of Dr. Koral's death when looking to schedule with him after years away. He saved my life by removing all of my amalgam fillings in one session. He had insisted that he had never in his life seen as much amalgam in a patients mouth as I had. I was dying of mercury poisoning, due to the unethical, small town dentist of my youth. It has taken 20 years to recover the loss of depth of thought, complexity of thought, and language skills. And I may never recover from the memory loss. But I am a functional, contributing member of society again, and it was due in great part to his caring and courage. The world has lost a gallant soul. May he be generously rewarded in the afterlife.
