Dear Ann, we are so sorry for your loss. You and Dick were such good friends. We will not forget the good times at the Eisenhower Rec Center, the many happy hours we attended, and talking sports about our Buffs and Broncos and walking through DIA and seeing Dick, in his Cowboy hat and vest, directing wayward passengers to their destinations. Dick was a special friend and we will miss him dearly.

Dear Ann and Family,
Upon reading the Prayers at St. John's on Sunday, I was shocked to learn of Dick's passing. Truly a gentleman's gentleman, Dick exemplified the life of a true Sigma Chi. Mary Lynn and I are saddened by his passing into the Chapter Eternal, but through hope, we are encourged that we will meet again. Please accept our love and sympathy during this sad time.
Christ's love to you,
Breck & Mary Lynn Grover

I worked with Dick at the State Fund when I was a new lawyer. He was a wonderful mentor. A good and decent man at all times he taught me that being a lawyer and a gentleman were not mutually exclusive. I knew of no one that didn't like and admire Dick. I have missed contact with him since his retirement. God Speed.

My condolences to Dick's family. I so enjoyed Dick's company the 17 years I was managing the airport volunteer program. Dick was a wonderful Ambassador for the airport and his team was number 1. I have so missed them since my retirement.

I had many cases against Dick when he was with the State Compensation Insurance Authority. He was always a gentleman, a persistent advocate for his clients (the employers of Colorado) and a pleasure to deal with. His professionalism and concern for others was an example to me and other younger lawyers, and I learned a lot from him. There are too few like Dick today, and he will be missed.
