Obituary of Montez Wright

Montez Wright of Lafayette died Friday, March 13, 2015. She was 79. Montez was born October 17, 1935 to George and Mayota Van Nostrand of Monte Vista, CO. She graduated Sargent High School in Monte Vista before going on to receive a degree in business administration from the University of Colorado, Boulder. On July 7, 1957 Montez married Herbert “Herb” Pond Wright in Monte Vista. They have been married for 57 years. Montez worked as an Administrative Assistant in Personnel, Purchasing & Communications at Rocky Flats periodically from 1958 to 2000. Montez was preceded in death by her Parents George and Mayota Van Nostrand, and her brother Andy Van Nostrand. She is survived by her husband Herb Wright of Lafayette; her son Mitch Wright of Basking Ridge, NJ; her two daughters Terri Zehnder (Brian) of Arvada and Sherilyn Wright (Amanda) of Washington, DC: and her sister Nancy Gilstrap of Oklahoma City, OK. “Montez was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
