Scott and I where privileged to get to know Tom. He was a gentle, smart and funny person. He loved to laugh and the laugh went all the way to his eyes. He was always helpful and always searching for more knowledge. We will miss him so very much. Playing golf with him and Lesley was always something we looked forward to and we always enjoyed the company and the laughs we shared.
We hope that now he is resting and in a better place where he can once again smile and laugh and make everyone around him a better person.
We love you and miss you Tom

I will miss him! It has been nice chatting with Uncle Tom on email and following his updates. He kept us informed and connected in some way. We shared 'Memere' stories back and forth. I loved the house on Topsfield Rd and will always treasure the memories.
Uncle Tom used to take us kids out for a swim to Hood's Pond on outer Linebrook Rd. We would all swim out to the raft for some jumping and diving and return to shore full of bloodsuckers. Who cared! We were having fun with our uncle!
He was a sweet, gentle and kind man. So happy we were able to get together at Moira's to see him and Lesley once again.

At different points in time after St. Joe’s High School class of ’57 graduated, several classmates (including Tom and me) left the North Shore to pursue their objective in life. These pursuits, with all their meanders and interruptions, took them far away from their friends and relatives. In several cases, the inevitable happened, that is, contact with old friends was lost. New friends were made and life continued. Some of us in the class of ’57 had been out of touch with each other for over 50 years!!! Happily, however, many of us reestablished contact and renewed our friendship after all these years. In high school, Tom wasn’t my closest buddy, but we were good friends. When we reconnected a couple of years ago, it was great to discuss the significant events in our lives. Lo and behold, we discovered that we had both served in the Army Security Agency as linguists, although at different periods of time. What a pleasant surprise that was. Tom served in Germany; I served in Ethiopia. We really enjoyed talking about our experiences in the ASA. Tom had been making plans to visit his older brother in California this year, when he was given the news of his grave medical condition. Since I live less than 20 miles away from his brother, we were planning to meet. To say the least, I was shocked and saddened when I heard to news of his condition. Like everyone else, I will really miss him. I think he handled his final ordeal remarkably well, much better than I probably would have. Tom, rest in peace. You’ll always be in our thoughts.

Dear Uncle Tom, We will miss your visits and great sense of humor, as well as the helpful fix-its you would perform while you were here. ;) Rick enjoyed chatting with you for hours in the backyard, and we're glad he was able to get to know his father-in-law's younger brother. Love, Mary and Rick
