Obituary of Mary Rook

Mary Jeffords Rook, 89, of Boulder, died, Wednesday, February 12, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014, 2:00 P.M. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1419 Pine St. Boulder with the interment to follow. Mary was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 14, 1924 to John C. Jeffords and Ann Douglass. She attended Hillsboro High School in Nashville, TN. Later she attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, studying sociology. Mary married Jack S. Rook, Jr. on September 15, 1948 in Nashville TN. She moved to Boulder from Nashville and has been a resident of Boulder, for 70 years. She is preceded in death by her 2 brothers, Douglass Jeffords and John Jeffords, Jr. and 1 sister, Anne Jeffords Trotter. Mary is survived by husband, Jack S. Rook, Jr. of Boulder; son, Jack S. Rook, III of Boulder, daughter, Mary (Mimi) Jessica Rook of Denver. Contributions may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 1419 Pine St. Boulder, CO 80302.
