Obituary of Karen Fatur

Karen Fatur, 53, of Boulder, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at TRU Hospice Care Center in Louisville. Karen was born on January 29, 1961 to Gerald Longhurst and Carol George in Lansing, Michigan. She was a life-long sports fan and Bronco season ticket holder. She enjoyed the fact that she attended school in Lansing, Michigan with Magic Johnson. Karen loved children and animals. During her career as a daycare provider she lovingly cared for over 70 children. She and Rick also took great joy in caring for their dogs, (Charlie, Fanni and Keshi) and cats, (Billy and Jack). She is survived by her parents, Gerald and Carol Longhurst of Lewiston, MI; Husband, Richard "Rick" Fatur of Boulder; Son David (Courtney) Fatur of Ft. Collins; daughter, Sara (Justin) Cook of Westminster; brother, Scott Longhurst of Lansing, MI; sister, Sherri (Mike) Treptan of Moore, SC; and 2 grandchildren, Alexis and Atley.
